Y'know what I miss?
Was just reading through the forums a few moments ago, and stumbled upon one of daveyeisley/MannyJabrielle's many textwallwars, this one about character advancement. I was always entertained by these Aenean giants, and always managed to learn a thing or two in the process!
Good times, good times!

Re: Y'know what I miss?
Heh, Ive been accused at numerous points in my life by various people who did not actually know me, that I "love to argue."
Its blatantly false. I strongly dislike arguing... I only do it when the alternative is letting something I strongly disagree with stand unchallenged... but even after wading in, I usually end up wishing I hadn't wasted the time. The debates with Manny that actually resulted in anything worthwhile are few and far between... and the rest, by and large, resulted in Aenea being negatively impacted and/or a whole ton of time being wasted.
Or... at least that's how I usually tended to feel about them after taking the bait. If you or others gained knowledge that helped you enjoy Aenea, then that's something worthwhile, and I am glad you mentioned it.
I get where you're coming from, though... I, too, have enjoyed sitting back with some popcorn watching others have a text brawl in which I have no strong interest regarding the outcome. Its easier to enjoy and be entertained when it's other people's ideas being debated.

Re: Y'know what I miss?
The vigor and ferocity that you two approached it was always awe-inspiring ... like walking your dog down the street, turning a corner, and running smack dab into Iron Man battling Ultron!

Re: Y'know what I miss?
Yeah, we both tended to be fairly passionate about it. We both wanted to make Aenea more fun, but we often disagreed on how and for whom.
