Quoin is a wanderer, a man whose past is missed with such regret that he focuses on it as much as the present.
As all his kind, they are native to the oceans and seas, but a storm washed him ashore to the Macedonian region, where his bizarre appearence and powers attracted the humans to use him as a display, a creature who was shown off at circuses and such for petty coin.
Quoin managed to escape from his captors and fled his current location, only to wind up further inland at this strange land, eventually arriving at Valorian's Vale in Nektaria.
He has recently learned to speak common in addition to his two native languages, and he hopes that he can return to his oceanic home someday, though it may be a LONG time before that may happen.
