A hastily written note on the board at the Sleeping Dragon Inn

Citizens, beware! A strange group of warriors dressed in red has been attacking the Vale, murdering innocents in the name of the "Red Talon". The mayor is informed and further investigation has revealed, that "Talon" was the name of a red dragon who found his demise here in our beautiful village. Nothing more is known so far, only that the dragon started his rampage in the area of Macedone and was killed in or near Vale by a band of powerful heroes.

Sir Rayvensclaw spies the note, drawing a heavy breath he heads for the door, his hand on his blade. Unsure of the exact meaning of this latest round of attacks. But none the less ready to defend Vale and it's citizens till his last breath.

His eyes are rimmed with red, and his brow furrowed tightly with concern. He animates occaisionally, his expression shifting to one of suspense and anticipation only to be quickly replaced with frustration as the images that seemed to grant greater insight swirl into confusing and incoherent chaos. Clearly the Archmage's divinations are being blocked... and he is slowly forced to confront the facts. His spells and magic are being countered by a being powerful enough to rival him... or worse.... destroy him.**

A letter arrived at Beuttlerian Command, where Derfel and Derik went over the intelligence coming in from Aenea. Derfel read it quickly, then glanced across the table at Derik. "I think it's high time we returned, old friend." He rose from his seat and began to open various cupboards and closets around the room, revealing his store of wands, weapons, and armor.

"Oh, and see what R&D has that can be used for non-lethal capture. We've got a bounty to collect for our old employer."
