Pushing Pixels Empty Pushing Pixels

Got hit over the head with an idea a couple nights ago. Tried it out, crashed my NWN client. Broke it into pieces, no crash for me.

So, yeah. I'm planning on making a bit of a change to the in-game world map, making it with higher resolution (so you can read some of the text on it) and adding a little bit of "magic". Pushing Pixels Icon_rolleyes

Unfortunately, even split up, the game client can't handle the 3D relief map. Sad

I wish. I even tried making it so the game would create each of the 20 pieces on a delay so that not all would need to be rendered at the same time. I worked, until I left the area and returned (when the game had to re-render the entire map at once). So this means it can't be used for the world map in-game.

I tested it on both my laptop and desktop (which has a better graphics card). The problem was with the NWN software rendering, not just the graphics card. Sad

Would it be possible to add a icon to the existing map that represented the character's current location (prior to looking at the map)?

This one would be helpful to newbies, and to any not having access to Teleport. But pls consider this one as a secondary feature; not a priority issue taking up your new found freedom. Smile
