An upcoming contest entry?

It looks like BeyondThePale may soon be running a "winter theme" screenshot contest. It took a little model making and creating a one-shot module, but my submission is ready.

I'm sharing a smaller version with you guys, because I know you'll get a kick out of it and won't use the same idea.

Hehe.... snowballs!

It's just too bad I couldn't catch a good shot with both good animation frames and a couple of snowballs mid-flight. Yes, I made it so that the thrown weapon also has the snowball appearance (and on impact, leaves a snowball temporarily stuck on the target).

Looks like the winter screenshot contest is now up and running. My entry is here. I also uploaded a snowball override and the module I used, but those haven't been approved yet.

Take your own screenshots and enter them. Let's see what you can capture! If you submit one (it's limited to one per person, and you have to already have a Vault account before today), post a link to it here so we can all see it.

Got quite a few more entries after I posted a thread on the BioWare NWN forum.

BeyondThePale asked me to remove the caption from mine, since other entries didn't have any and he wants everything fair. I agree.

I think that besides mine, I think the funniest is the Blood War one. The look on that pit fiend's face just says "unpleasant surprise" to me...it's kind of disturbing, since the balor behind him seems to be smiling.

Yeah... that one's great. My only quibble with it is that setup wise, it's just a matter of playing through that particular segment of HotU to setup the shot.

My two favorites besides your snowball one are the two "scenic" shots of the mountain stronghold and the forest clearing with the corpse and unicorn.

I like the dwarf-duo one too.... I just can't help being as ass about the particular's on the shots though lol. I blame my photography background for that, not the creativity of the submitters
