Reincarnation & Ascension & Custom Vouchers

The Gninja having been obliterated in the arena is about to be reincarnated Have been reading through various threads and don't understand what actually happens with the custom vouchers and timeplayed. Can the ascended greats explain to a confused gnome.

What *should* be happening now from my understanding is your clock should NOT get reset, and you can use the vc command pc tool saveitem to keep ONE of your custom items for instant retrieval upon re-incarnation/ascention .... you will loose all other items...

It might be worthwhile to get a few custom item redesign vouchers and merge all your existing items into one item for safekeeping... ... ..

As far as I understand it.... and I'm not claiming to be correct on this one.... which is a rarity for me, I'm usually at least 90% sure of stuff that I post... ... ...

This would be a one-way operation, and you'd never be able to separate the "values". Also, you'd have to be very specific about which items' value get merged (noted in item comments: full item names with original values, pc name, player username).

What if we have unused vouchers in our inventory? Do we need to use them before reincarnation/ascension?

Also, I seem to remember reading somewhere that a helpful DM might be willing to hold an additional custom item for us while we reincarnate/ascend...is this the case?

Lastly, I have some items from many years ago that I no longer have the .erf files for. I have recreated them as far as properties but not appearance. If I upgrade an item can the new properties be added to the .erf I originally sent or will everything just be put on the new one. I only ask because I remember taking a lot of time to get it the way I wanted.

Or, would be willing/able to send me the original .erf when he gets a chance?

Generally, yeah. Use up your vouchers.  In general, the idea of reincarnation/ascension is giving up what you have for the chance to play the same character at lower level again (with some boosts).

Us DMs can be helpful.

As far as custom item erfs go, I should be able to send them to you or edit them on my end, whichever is easier for you.
