Whats better than a Gold Dragon companion?

So two trivia questions for this one:

All these Dragons were in fact part of my party, officially. Only one of which was dominated, and that was because he spawned hostile to me (and it wasnt a bug or faction issue, he was *supposed* to be hostile)

The location is not the shieldwall mountains.

Must be an area put in since i last played That was the one spot i knew of golds spawning!

Actually, that area the picture was taken in has been in since I started playing. To my knowledge there haven't been any additional Gold Dragon spawns added, and I didnt get these dragons from the place you mentioned.

Yes I know, that would seem to indicate I couldn't have gotten them anywhere. I will say, I did not have any DM help, and no other players were involved, and to my knowledge the method I used is totally legitimate.

Maybe some or one is an Illusion Monster? One from MotM at least. As you said one is Dominated. Um...Not sure on the area.

The area thing has me curious now... I know of only one gold dragon spawning spot.

An important thing to keep in mind is that the area that the dragons were brought into my party was not the same as the area the picutre was taken in.

The screenshot area looks a lot like a lightning bolt from far above...

As to how you got the dragons all in the party...hmmm...did you manage to get the epic polymorph working on various summoned followers?

One dominated golden dragon aquired from somewhere... the rest are just "mirror image" copies that happen to be following him about ... likely from a scroll or item that casts it (I think the actual spell is set to just cast on the caster ? ... but from a scroll or item it might need to be targeted to work ?) ....


As for the area, I'm not sure but from 's post it's possible it could be the Mystara shrine area above the Vale (I don't recognise it because of all the "extra" trees) ... ...

Well, basically got it. His #2 was not specific, but he nailed #1 and then Rusty got #2 specifically.

How:

I Summoned my Familliar, my Dragon Companion, my Stone Horse, used a MotM summon, and then dominated Vorshlag. Then I used the epic Transform seed to polymorph them all into Gold Dragons

The Mystara Shrine behind the Wanderer's portal, up the hill north of the Vale.
