[6/10/2012 @ 6:15pm EST] Spontaneous, low-level hack n' slash event
About 16 hours till server reset. Folks may find a proliferation of lower level lizardfolk enemies in the Swamps south of Mistborne.
Some sneaky lizardfolk overlord also stashed some very powerful items in the area where his best troops stand guard.

Looks like a fun event.... the server crashed though due to bad AoE useage... then crashed a 2nd time, again possibly through bad AoE useage....
The loot looked to be spot on though, and the enemies were evenly matched for the target audience, although maybe the trolls and shambling mounds were a bit tough ....
Didn't get to find the overlord or the really good loot...
Would be good to see this one again some day ...

Indeed, this one sounded as though it was gonna be a good one, unfortunately I arrived just a hair late to the party to find the participants hanging out in the astral conjunction, hope to get in a few licks next time though

Re: [6/10/2012 @ 6:15pm EST] Spontaneous, low-level hack n' slash event
My apologies to all, after the 1st crash I barely had time to repeat the setup and then I had to leave.
I am sorry to hear it crashed a second time
That is pretty darn frustrating. I am concerned that the crashes may have been related to the troglodyte 'stink cloud' effects. It looked like there were multiples of them layered before the 1st crash.
Have to avoid that, or at least the population desnity for future... but it did look like the challenge was apropriate. Minions were getting good kills, but were also taking damage, etc.
Have no fears, won't be the last time I do something like this. As always, I apologize for not scheduling ahead of time (I honestly find that to be a real P.I.T.A personally, but I force myself to make the effort for 'plot' related events - which I admit are somewhat few and far between).
Keep eyes peeled, and playing regularly and I am sure you will get to see another hack n' slasher. Hint: I am most likely to invest the effort to set something up when I see a group of folks online.

This was awesome, despite crashes. I am sorry I was reluctant to join immediately. I had a terrible compulsion to walk to Calithia, but you already know about that, all too well, Dungeon Master Mythgar. Now I know how to use ships though, so no more walking that terrible desert path! To Lila(sp) and Tullian(sp), good fun, we should party for other things too!

It sound like it was a blast for those involved, I didn't join up because I don't got any PCs that low anymore (my lowest character is level 20 ^^; ) and didn't want to ruin the fun by bringing a long Celestin which would surely mow through all the encounters with ease (that and I was busy toolsetting as well :p). It was rather difficult to control my curiosity as seeing what you had set up though... XD

Re: [6/10/2012 @ 6:15pm EST] Spontaneous, low-level hack n' slash event
Yeah it looked like a good slugfest... Grace was lv25, but I resigned myself to only healing and buffing, and group direction. The group was aided by Master Crideas from his Lunar Base on Sharlo too (well we was on the first run!)...
I think Endil, Lila, Tillion and Assyria worked rather well as a group party and got at least a few good loot items from the yuan-ti priestesses. They seemed to have fun smashing up a shambling mound or too (which even took a few Flamestrike hits from Grace and still stood!). And the "summoned" Bison charging through a hoard of trogies was just fun to watch!
My only screenshot fromthe night;
