My Solid State Drive Liquified!
Ok, not literally, but it did break, and it sounded good (or at least to me).... Lovely thing to find out that your laptop that is only 7 months old has just had a critical hard drive failure WHILE YOU'RE ON VACATION.... Anyhow..... moving on....
I got the hard-drive replaced (under warranty thankfully), got NwN re-installed and I am currently downloading the hak files for Aenea and a few other servers that I bounce between.
The problem I'm having is something not so NwN related.... I've a 4th generation ipod touch that has a whole bunch of music that no longer exists on my computer. I don't tend to sync it to my computer in the first place, so nothing is getting auto-erased.... but I have come to the issue that I now no longer have copies of much of my music that I can actually back up properly....
Anyone know how to get the music *off* of an ipod touch by chance? The old method of going in and manually copying the files doesn't work since I can't get the silly thing to register as anything other than a camera....

Re: My Solid State Drive Liquified!
Thank you you Dave! If I could give you a hug right now, I would. You have just given me a way to do what I had chalked up to being impossible without spending ~20$. Thank you SOOO much.
If anyone else has this issue, I suggest doing this ASAP, as Dave said, since a universal key likely won't last long.
Now I'm off to make a system image....

Re: My Solid State Drive Liquified!
I know somebody spent time coding that utility. Actually, tons of people have spent time coding such utilities. I usually don't go in for cracks or keygens (malware being a prime concern), but I made an exception in this case because Apple made a design choice that only hurts honest consumers.
There shouldnt be a need to pay $20 for something apple should have made available from the get-go. They left the door open for the functionality, they didn't block it outright (how could they, really), but they made it impossible for a layman to do it without a utility (used to be doable, they changed it so the everyday folks get screwed out of 20 bucks).
Everybody and their brother is offering such a utility it seems, all of them shareware, with a 100 track or less limit... I get that they want money for their work, but with the market so saturated with competition, do they really think they're going to make anything significant?
Bottom line, nobody's kids are going to starve as a result of this, and the greedy buggers trying to gouge $20 for a such a simple tool (really only worth maybe $5 at best) might learn their lesson and make the next one freeware.

Re: My Solid State Drive Liquified!
So I finally got the chance to get everything set up. Life decided to throw a curveball at me, and I had to take care of my Grandparents for a few weeks since they both had some major surgery within three months of each other.
All that, and just after having to move from VA to NJ... so been kinda busy of late.
Then, of course, there's also the plethora of other games that I play... so yeah, you might see me around.
