Aenean Dragon Soul

I was wondering if it might be appropriate for the Aenean Dragon Soul Prestige Class to have the feature of increasing the base Spellcasting class with each level of DS?

Being a half-dragon by this class seems to me more of a racial thing, and it seems to me that the character should be able to continue his base Sorcerer or Bard class along with these 'racial' abilities, rather than being a poorer Sorcerer or Bard for getting in touch with his Dragon heritage.

The PnP version of the red dragon disciple, which the dragonsoul is based on (just to give options for the draconic heritage), gives one caster level for every 2 levels invested in the prestige class.

I wouldnt want to see red dragon disciple or dragonsoul become 1 for 1 spellcasting progression classes, because they already give so many robust benefits... so there has to be some tradeoff, (otherwise why ever go pure sorceror or bard?) but I do think they should get their 1/2 progression like in PnP, currently in NWN they get nuttin', which sucks.
