(well, at least they stop shooting those annoying eyeball beams when you're stoned. Makes it kinda funny watching them trying to gnaw on your statue-fied person)

When the beholders turn you to stone, they stop shooting their eyerays, and rather just go melee with you. But since they totally suck at melee..... it's just funny to watch.

the only thing beholders really fear is.... blindness... and when you think about it... thats VERY appropriate.

A blinded beholder really only has one weapon... its teeth... and well, their teeth are nowhere near as magic and special as the teeth of the *other* floating head, a demilich.... So watching beholders try to eat things should be amusing to a higher level character.

Try as he might, Alastair just couldn't get the beholders to understand that a conga line just isn't quite as much fun when you turn the first person in line into a statue....

Hmmm...... Al we need to get you a statue breakers cloak.... ... then again something tells me you enjoy getting stoned ....

I got one, I just rarely use it. It's a toss up between the stonebreaker, or my mad minstrel cape, and I usually go for the mad minstrel.
