Chat Colors
NWN has an easy way to change the color of the fonts for different forms of chat within the game (talk, shout, party, ect).
To change the colors of the text, open up your nwn installation directly, and find the nwnplayer.ini file. Open that with notepad or any other basic text editor.
Add the following to the text of the file, if it doesn't already exist:
[Chat Colors]
TalkColor=250,250,250
ShoutColor=255,255,192
WhisperColor=140,140,140
TellColor=0,255,255
ServerColor=176,176,176
PartyColor=100,230,0
DMColor=192,0,192
Each line controlls a different type of text. The numbers are the RBG values (Red Blue Green).
For those unfamiliar with RBG values, each number (ranging from 0 to 255) represents one of the three primary colors. Those three values mixed together will produce a specific color. 255,0,0 is bright red, for example. THe lower that first number goes, the darker the red becomes. There's a number of ways to find the RBG value of a given color.
The colors as posted in the example are the ones I play with, but you can easily choose a colorscheme of your own liking.
There are a few things which will not be affected by this. Text deliberately color coded in the module, such as the purple automated server-reset message that fires off 5 minutes before Aenea auto-restarts itself.
Another color topic...
Traps.
If you want to change the colors of traps from green (traps you or party membes have set) and red (traps that wanna hurt you), to say, blue for friendly traps and pink for hostile traps, you could do that as well.
Within the same file (nwnplayer.ini) add the following (or replace it if it already exists):
[Trap Colors]
FriendlyColor=0,255,0
HostileColor=255,0,0
Same as with chat colors. RBG values. Alter to suit your tastes.

This one was added by BioWare for those RG colorblind players out there. Nice someone in game design was thinking about more players. Or someone suggested it and BioWare said "Good idea! Easy enough to put in!" (like they did with certain emote icons after a couple of forum posts by some purple dragon).
