I know the module hasn't been updated in a bit over a week. There are some custom items that need to get handed out, and some bugfixes that are waiting on the "next module update" to get implemented on the server.

Things are being worked on, have no fear.

I did take that week off for a family visit, then read through the backlog of forum posts. I got some fixes added to the module. I'm just trying to finish up some things that require a hak/tlk update (so I can cram all the needed files in), and some changes already made to my copy of the module rely on this hak update. If I put this version of the module on the server, the results would be...unreliable.

Just so you know what you're patience is earning, here's a quick overview of the more labor-intensive changes...

- an update to the "item appearance changing crystals" in Bluebeard's Tower
- - new crystal models that should better handle "appearing" and "disappearing" (via animations instead of VFX)
- - recoded to handle 3-part shield models
- - opening some CEP weapon parts for crafting
- - starting with PC's weapon's current appearance instead of starting with the default for the weapon type
- - functional appearance changing for tridents (seems I may have left that one out before)
- new spell: detect magic items (allows caster to automatically pick out "magical" items while looting corpses)
- new spell: detect evil (notes positions of evil creatures)
- new spell: detect good (notes positions of good creatures)
- new spell: know alignment (notes law/chaos and good/evil alignments of creatures)
- new spell: magic stone (creates 3 temporary magic sling bullets that cause extra damage)
- new spell: mordenkainen's magnificent mansion (creates portal to a comfortable place to eat/sleep/relax)
- - this one is trickier, so it can handle parties and return them to the right spot, kick them out after duration, etc.
- fix for orc and goblin appearances for the hat of disguise

Yup, working on icons, scripting, 2da entries, models, etc.

That all sounds very yummy... especially the detect spells.

A question about the shields... I know the 3 part shield thing is with ProjectQ... how is that going to work with the current shield system? Have you found a way to have them side by side?

It turns out that NWN can handle the transition quite easily. For existing shields, it simply takes the model number of the old style shield and looks for that number for the "bottom" part...
Example: a large shield #081 (file ashlw_081) looks for ashlw_b_081, once the 2da file change is made
the missing top and middle pieces just stay empty

I manually converted all of the shields (models and icons) I wanted (CEP and Aenea) into bottoms for the 3-part shields.
