I nearly reported this faction issue yesterday for the reason that I couldn't even get into a convo with Billy Mard (I needed some gem bags) because he couldn't be interrupted from fighting the caravan bisons, and that was really inconvenient to have to wait until after a reset to try again to interact with him. He and a cat were attacking the bison, which made me realize that there must be more than one animal faction, and that for some odd reason the bison seemed to be in the rat/vermin faction. And immortal, which meant that Billy couldn't kill them and therefore end his inavailability.

My mage did try to kill the bison. They are apparently immortal.

Killing Billy, if it be even possible, would still make me wait until the reset to buy from him.


Uncertain if making Billy invisible would stop him, since he's the aggressor.

But I will try making the bison invisible next time.

Today I found an unusual situation in Macedone. Instead of the usual case of hostility between the Guard faction and the Vermin faction, we had hostility between the Guard faction and the Commoners/Domestic Animals faction.

While I watched, the guards ran down and killed every dog, kitty-cat, goat, and Commoner in the town, until the Merchants and the Guards were the only NPCs left in the city.

Just noticed today, while going through the dark realm, that balors and beholders does not get along at all (probably nothing unusually, but thought I would report it anyway). Razz

While wandering through the Gauntlet I also noticed that the marilith dervishes, barbed demons and dark reavers doesn't like balors much either...

Another thing I noticed in the Gauntlet is that all the encounters triggers the traps laid out in the area. Don't know if that's intended or not...

The same thing happens in the mindflayer areas - slaves are being randomly beat up on, umber hulks fight eyes and occasionally mindsuckers as well i think.

Also, some silverfist dwarves in the halls are adamant on beating up on some poor doors. Specifically the ones leading to the dragon - they gather around it, making it impossible to go through and just bully it for whatever reason.

I wonder if that dragon in the dwarven halls spontaneously lets off some AoE spell from time to time, that would account for faction issues.

But I've found the dwarves not only trying to destroy that gate door, but also fighting each other in the area. Which I don't understand at all, since I thought that faction issues make the entire faction go one way, not individuals separately. I witnessed an amusing brawl between a male and a female dwarf, and it just kept going and wouldn't stop, because they both seemed uninjurable.

BTW, that one non-hostile Umber Hulk, Kasok Squideater, in the area above the mindflayer enclave, I do believe is totally supposed to fight the other umber hulks and the mind flayers.

Yesterday my scout went into the drow complex under the prairie to test out some weapons, and when she finally got to the middle room, she found the wizard and his half-orc minion dead and the murderer of sorgath with a bubble of invincibility on, defending himself from all of the snakes in the room.

I just stood in the shadows and watched as he got whittled on by the snakes, and did my job for me in killing every last snake. He even called up a couple of elementals to help him run down the last of the snakes. It was quite ironically and karmically amusing.
