Illusionary Monster unstable Empty Illusionary Monster unstable

So for my Illusionary Monster, I chose number 11 ghoul, and when I fired the spell, at first it was a bipedal shadow for just a second, then it switched into a ghoulish zombie with red pants, then the spell failed and unsummoned, all within the space of just a few seconds.

So I switched my assignment to number 6 gold dragon, and when I fired the spell I first got the shadow, then the gold dragon, then poof right away again. Replicated the failure several times.

I was casting the spell from a Staff of Illusionary Power, inside the Kalas library cave at Damarok, if any of that matters.

Very strange behavior.

The red pants stood out in my mind because it seemed a different appearance for Ghoul 11 from the last time I'd use the Illusionary Monster a few months back-- if you can trust my memory, I seem to recall that for the ghoul that used to appear, its rags were all but unnoticeable.  This one was so sprightly dressed, it must have been in Thriller! Gah!
