Tradeskils (for instance Armor or Weapon)

With all of the tradeskills added into the "tradeskill system" if I read it correctly, it opens up crafting even to those PCs who were previously unable to access crafting due to having no skill points invested. Is that correct? 

Are there crafting items that are still inaccessible without skill points invested?

And skill points invested boost the success percentage on attempts, so they still have value, albeit a reduced one.

Yes, anyone can craft. Success is based on the tradeskill rank. The crafting skills add to that tradeskill number.

For *tradeskill* crafting? I don't believe so, I'd have to look over the lists.

I know that for magic item crafting there *were* skill point checks for certain items, but I believe The Amethyst Dragon removed those from enchantment as well.
