Item upgrade system

Lyann tried the enhancement system tonight, on adding AC to sa pair of soft leather boots. Not sure I did right, the closest I could get to magic armor was mage armor, is that right?7

Anyway, got the message that it was beyond my level, item would be worth 20k gp and my max was 0 gp. So unless this is a cleric only enhancement, then something is wrong with the enhancement system. Unless it requires the item to be magical to start with.

I will be experimenting some more tonight, could not do much tonight as we had a nother new player and I was showing him around a bit.

Magic Armor was changed not be restricted to clerics only here. Mage Armor probably would not work if it specifically lists "Magic Armor as the requirement". My advice would be to try the enhancement again with the correct spell and see if it works for you then.

Magic Armor: Formerly magic vestment, this spell functions only on armor. It is now a 3rd level spell for bards, clerics, druids, paladins, sorcerers, and wizards.

What is your character's level/class?

Character class is wizard, lvl 40. But I tried with greater magic weapon and had the same issue, I will log on and look for a magic armor scroll and try again.

Well, I found magic vestments scroll, but no one seems to have a magic armor scroll. Will keep looking.

Checked the actual error message on the weapon enhancement, the system is telling me that ;;mi empower enhancement +5 is unrecognized.

OK, the relevel partially worked, I can enchant armor and items with no issues so far, but I am still getting the error message on weapon enhancement, tried several different variations of spacing and spelling and always got the unrecognized command response.

, this may be working as intended. I can add enhancement to weapons with no enhancement, but if it already has a +1 or whatever, I cannot upgrade it.

I hope thats not intended... the mystic forge works for this function.... i would hope the PC variant would offer the same, especially considering XP cost.

PC enchanting should definitely be more desirable than forge/ect enhancements... not just for the cost, but the fact the PC has to invest feats to do enchanting as well
