1) Head problem
When making my character i made a half-elf that looks more elven then human.
The head I choose was near the end of the selection- the one with the hat and glasses.

The server reset and since then I have not had a head Razz

2) While praying to the Altar of Kalas I decided to seek atonement just to be pious.
It said I've been shifted to 100 points lawful (making me LN) and have been stripped of my title of Reconciler and that I can no longer take Bard levels.
2a) Can I get my alignment adjusted back?
2b) With Kalas being a god that respects laws isn't it odd I'd be penalized for being lawful?
2c) On the website it says followers of Kalas have no alignment preferences, so it really shouldn't matter what alignment I am as long as I judge a situation well, no?

Thanks for your time! Smile

The head chooser in the character-gen area seems to be wonky.  I ran into the same problem with my last character as well.

You can find a shop in the city of Macedone called Shada's Alterations in the Trade District where you can change your head model for 5K gp.  If the cost is a problem (likely for a brand new player), just give a hollar and I'm sure another player will help you out (and I can refund them for helping you out next time I log in as DM and see them... just help you out directly if I catch you online Smile )

Alignment..... you can get this shifted as well in the city of Mountainholm.  There's a shop called "The Cosmic Balance" or something along that lines.  You can pick your alignment.  There's a cost in gp and xp, but the cost is extremly minor, something like 10 or 50 GP/xp per character level (the XP would be applied as an XP debt, so you don't need "surplus" XP).... may not even be that much, I just remember that the cost is trivial to the point of er, pointlessness lol.

Kalas ad alignment..... er, not sure.  All I can say is that well, the bard class in inherently unlawful, like barbarians, so having a lawful deity would be a little wonky on the minor points like alignment shifting.

And.... Welcome to Aenea Very Happy

The road to Macedone from Mtholm's a tad more chancey than from vale to Mtholm, but yes, the potion should serve well in avoiding the big troubles Smile

A pet of some sort works great too for distraction while you run.

On the way to Macedone, keep an eye out during daylight hours for a guy who will sell you dogs (war dogs and hunting dogs).  They're not going to rend up stuff like a epic ranger's direwolf, but for a new adventurer, a wardog is a great aid.

Well my head returned on the next server reset >_>

I found "The Cosmic Balance" with your help but it wanted 1600 gold for the alignment change which is like 10X what I currently have heh.

Ah, just missed you.  Saw you were online, and during the login process for me you logged off.  I'll be keeping an eye out for you, so we can get your alignment fixed.

That would be a little faster then collecting 800 food items and selling them to that dwarf in Mountainholm heh.

Fun stuff so far. Thanks also to odbo255 for all the help too!

Coding a fix tonight that will hopefully make the change actually permanent via a DM command. I'll let you know when the script is done and live on the server.

A question about altering the look of my new armor at a seamstress shop before I accidentally destroy it.

I just got the Shadowscout's Armor
Its an Ac3 +3, Hide & MS +5

The Question:
The torso I want is under Cloth: 0AC.
If I alter the appearance will it destroy the stats on the armor?

Do stats stay the same on the armor no matter what i do?

Altering appearance won't erase the special properties on armors.

However, you cant modify the base AC of the armor, so no turning AC0 robes into AC8 full plate or vice versa.

If there are any other players around at the time, see if they are a caster, and if they have any of the crafting feats.  Aenea has a big player-enchant system, and you can get that +5 hide and move silently skill bonuses applied to another AC0 type armor.  You can also get the +3 AC bonus by saving up 30 Blood of Magic gems, and visiting Forge (or save up a full 50 and go for +5)

PC casters can do the +X AC bonus as well, but its better to go to forge, no XP drain for that while the caster has to pay XP to do the enchantment

I'm confused by that answer. Sorry Razz

If I alter the armor i already have will i destroy any of the stats on it making it look how i want it to look?

what about the base AC? The base AC is 3. If I choose a cloth 0AC torso will i destroy the base AC3?

When altering armor/clothing appearances there are a couple of limitations built into the coding.

One of these limitations is that you cannot change the chest/torso piece of the armor (which controls the base AC value of the armor) to one with a different base AC value.  In the example given, you can't change an AC 0 clothing torso to a full plate torso (AC 8 ).  Nor can you change a torso with a higher base AC to one of lower base AC (for instance a hide armor one with AC 3 to a cloth appearance with AC 0).

I can't remember if you can add or remove a robe component or not, but if so, that would not affect the stats of the armor itself...it's only the chest/torso piece that limited by AC value.

As far as magical/special properties of the clothing/armor, those would remain as they were before alterations were made.

The base AC is the AC bonus it gets just from it's torso piece without any magic/special properties. Clothing is AC 0 without any magic, leather is AC 2 without any magic, full plate is AC 8 without any magic, and so on. Clothing with a +3 armor bonus property still has a base AC of 0.

The additional enchantments MannyJabrielle is referring to are things that can be added to existing items by PCs, either through a special magical flame beneath the dwarven city of Forge, or by PC spellcasters with the appropriate feats and spells.  Not a concern if just modifying your existing armor/clothing, but the info is there if you wanted to add those same properties to brand new armor/clothing.

No, you wont destroy the special properties, as I stated.

The base AC is the um, well base AC.

Clothing is base AC0.  Full plate armor is base AC8.  Leather armor is base AC2.  Its the base AC, the AC provided for plain, non magical, totally ordinary armor items.
