Donations

So I was wondering.... I know not everybody can afford to donate money...

however, even small amounts over time can add up... and if we pitch
in, even like $5 in a month from a handful of folks, we could eventually
get Amethyst enough money to put together a new PW server machine
with better specs.

Just food for thought...

If you really enjoy Aenea, consider making some tiny
contribution. It doesnt have to be much, but if enough
people do it, it could add up and make a difference.

I fully agree, daveyeisley, and I will thoroughly enjoy donating to the Aenea fund whenever I have a chance. Not quite yet, though.

One related question - what form will said donation take? How will I transmit my donation to Amethyst Dragon's bank account (as I'm fairly certain that we don't share financial institutions [most banks in PA have long-standing "no dragon" operational policies!])?

On the main website, you will see a link on the left side that says "donate", it uses paypal. Very simple and easy.

Thanks, and the donations are greatly appreciated. Such donations are being split between "maintenance costs" (aka internet service, anti-virus software, and web hosting) and "new server machine" funds.

You get a nice little gold coins "donor" graphic here on the forum, free with your donation.

This is an excellent idea, and you can count me in as well. It is the least I can do for the enjoyment being provided. For the cost of one movie a month, you can get 10 times the entertainment hours, and better quality at that!

Just giving this one a little bump. I put a goal of $500 on the donate page for a very good-spec machine, and we're 44% of the way there already. Thanks!

When we do get a new machine, I'm going to put a "donor wall" in the Astral Conjunction, like those ones you see in hospitals and schools to give permanent recognition to those that helped fun the new addition. I've been keeping track of who donates in a nice Excel sheet.

Ye, I dropped a small donation too, remember, is raising 4 kids (loved and raised 4 kids on a dragon's pay is what I heard) so if we can defray the bandwith costs it makes me feel a lot better about spending all my time on NWN.

Wow, thanks. For some reason the email address linked for donations wasn't forwarding to me for a while and y'all reminded me I should check it. The most recent donations went toward renewing the server's anti-virus/firewall program subscription.

A big thanks to those that donate, both with money and with time spent in the game making the world come alive. I may be the builder of Aenea, but it's the players that make it enjoyable.
