A second Question Empty A second Question

Post by MannyJabrielle Sat Jul 05, 2008 4:27 pm

Another question from the server newb.

I have downloaded the required files and the updates (April 3rd updates) of the hak and tlk. However, I see a number of badstrref's for skills on level up, and particularly with the goblins, I get a fair number of 'invisible' goblins. Is this a known issue, or is it a fubar on my end somewhere?

Thanks again,

~MJ

Bad strref skills, yeah, something that's going to be fixed when the 1.69 patch comes out...

"invisible goblins"...those are a game engine issue that has to do with spawning creatures and appearances...common to many PWs, unfortunately.
...for a quick fix on these guys, log out/in quick, or go through an area transition and back and they should show up fine. Any familiars/henchies/summons should be able to attack them normally, and cleaving from another baddie will let you target them too.

Ah... for all my time playing NWN, this is actually my second PW (the other one I wasn't so much into, not sure if it's around anymore even). Learn something new all the time I guess Smile

For anyone else reading this and having that problem, a trick I like to get the ball rolling with invisible baddies is the attack-of-opportunity method. Run around the invisble baddie until it makes an AoO on you, and hope the auto-retaliation kicks in. Works most of the time.

Thanks again, The Amethyst Dragon for the responses Smile
