I think you just click on the .exe, it'll ask you if you want to run the updater, you hit Enter (I think) and it does the magic from there. If it's your first time running it, it'll probably take quite a while to finish.
I'm sure someone will come along soon and correct me if I'm wrong.

No, from what I remember, Amethyst347 is dead on.
Just be patient once you start it, and dont do anything else with your puter while its running (in my experience command line apps either get really slow or hang when you open other windows and they go to the background).
Safe bet is to start it before going to bed, and let it run overnight.

And make sure it's sitting in your NWN directory, not some other folder.

Heh... I am pretty sure there is a readme.txt file in the download archive that makes mention of that bit... I know I read it somewhere before I used the updater.
I always make a habit, and I strongly recommend to all others, that whenever you download a new gadget/widget/program/app for NWN you take the time to read the documentation and readmes before using it. Stops a lot of issues before they start
