Horrid Wilting... what's the lowest possible caster level this spell could be cast with in NWN?

3, I think?

Start with Wizard 3, then Pale Master 10, and 7 of something that can't cast; then continue PM (since it just adds spell slots rather than actual caster levels) into epic until you can do 8th lv spells. Learn horrid wilting from a scroll, and cast it for 3d8 damage

...which reminds me of this episode of The Tick, where he and Arthur go to a mad scientists' convention and Tick finds someone that's created "Room Temperature Fire"

And, having a character that was(and is going again) for wiz4/dd6/pm30.... I can say horrids is quite horrible with just 4 caster levels lol

And another one... Assuming no items that grant casting stat bonuses/extra spell slots, and no tomes, just straight NWN default levelling, what's the most number of spell slots a 40th level character can have?

75 slots for single classed max casting stat, assuming epic spells and bonus slots from buffed casting stat do not apply.

Dual classed, I would imagine is somewhere around 130-140, but Im not sure.

Edit: for dual class im gonna go with 124 slots.

Close enough 145 casts per day, cleric-druid with a 18 starting wisdom, everything pumped into wisdom and taking 6 great wisdoms for a final wisdom score of 34.

The second best I was able to work out was Cleric-sorcerer with 141 casts per day, followed by cleric20/CoD6/druid12 at 136, and cleric-wizard(specialist) at 134.

With any of those though... not nearly enough quickslots by a longshot.

You could also get dirty... druid-shifter... unlimited casts per day, although that's through a special ability, not a spell-book proper.
