Just a suggestion here, I like the idea that guards comes up and ask for the weapon to be put away when within town limits. Love it. But would love it more, if the script could be altered perhaps. So that umbrellas and other non-lethal/common accessory items was allowed to be held in hand. Smile

Mainly asking for this because I was holding a blackout umbrella to avoid the pesky sunlight Razz . . .and was asked by one of the macedonian guards to put it/"the weapon" away. xD

Heh.... and here I always found that particular function extremely annoying when the guards pestered my PCs...

I would like it if a PC is of a certain level or reputation level, etc... that the guards know better than to bother them..... either because the PC has a reputation for defending the region and has been granted some leeway with regards to their weapons... or because the PC has a reputation for being exceedingly powerful and pestering them about their weapon would be a bad idea for reasons of survival and preserving the public peace.

Guard Bob: Hey, Joe, what's Tommy doing?
Guard Joe: I think he's going to ask Aurora to put her weapon away
Guard Bob: Oh, this should be good. Gotta love the new guys on the job.
Guard Joe: Think we should stop him?
Guard Bob: Na.... he's gotta learn the ropes one way or the other
Guard Joe: There he goes...

*BOOM*

Guard Bob: And there he goes...
Guard Joe: Dibs on his ioun stone collection.
Guard Bob: dammit, I wanted those, ok, I get his wife...

Or...

To take a page out of Bioware's book from Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn... allow the PC to 'purchase a license', mayhaps even involving some small quest for the city of macedone, that will allow the PC to carry weapons without the guards harassing them.

Yeah, lol, thats pretty much the impression I got from Shadows of Amn... hence the quotes I put around 'purchase a license'... it was just basically bribing the public official to have the Cowled Wizards lay off.
