Yeah, I just focus on the hard stuff ... kittens and cheese sandwiches. Leave the easy stuff for all the others.

So is a DM interested in setting a day/time/game location and character level to try this?
I've talked to a few friends and they are interested

Sure. Is there a time window that is preferable?

I know Red has Sundays off, and he's 6 hours ahead of EST. Other then that those I talked to told me to tell them the day and time
Whatever is good for the DM!

Re: Is anyone interested in a setting up a regular D&D night/
I could be online this weekend, but it would have to be during the night here in Arizona (GMT -7 hours). Currently 3 hours earlier than Eastern time.
The wife works this weekend, so daytime hours will be spent supervising my kids while they try to destroy my house and maim each other (I've got 4 of them aged 4-10).
If those that can/want to play were to PM or email me with goals they have for their characters, I may be able to tie that into whatever I have happen in-game.

Re: Is anyone interested in a setting up a regular D&D night/
I have been patrolling the areas between Valorean's Vale and Macedone, and I have discovered a disturbing trend.
Ice Goblins in the wilderness, Snow Orcs outside Macedone, winter wolves in the woods, Frost Giants near the forest, and White Dragons in warm climes.
Is it possible..........Winter is Coming?
(with apologies to George Martin!)

We encountered snow orcs on the way to the shieldlands as well but it IS winter and I did encounter winter wolves outside Macedone 'last' winter as well.

Do you have a latent death wish?
Does the idea of being emotionally and/or physically scared appeal to you?
Then you're in luck! It's GAME NIGHT tonight.
Saturday, May 24, 4pm-8pm (Arizona/Pacific time).

Re: Is anyone interested in a setting up a regular D&D night/
It could be for almost any level character, but since there have been higher level characters involved so far, that means encounters are spawning with increased numbers (and may spawn with better chance of increased damage resistances). Just something to keep in mind.
As far as the same characters involved week to week, probably, just for role play purposes. If you prefer to switch, perhaps just explain it away as "My friend SoAndSo had a family emergency to tend to and asked me to take his/her place as a favor".

I will be rebooting the server computer about 10 minutes before we get started so that a fresh copy of the module is running and anything left over in memory that doesn't need to be there is cleared out.
I guess that's in about 10 minutes from now.

Sorry about that. The game crashed, I decided right then to reboot, then nothing happened...because I had to go down to the actual server machine and hit a key on the physical keyboard for it to finish booting back up.
Up and running now.

Thanks to all, esp to for the extra work.
In other news, I do hope the cause of the frequent crashing later in the session is located. Each time, I thought it was on my end again, then re-logged to discover everyone in the waiting area. Are the twins disconnecting the cable wires again?

Re: Is anyone interested in a setting up a regular D&D night/
I had fun as well. And we didn't even crash when the drow city was filled with both citizens and PCs.
The crash seems to be happening when someone disconnects. I'm wondering if perhaps it's because one or more people don't have the May 7th hak update (since it has an updated classes.2da file with those two new prestige classes).
Maybe before the next DM'd adventure night in this series (in two weeks, June 14th), I'll add a new tiny hak to the module called "igotmay7updates". If someone doesn't have it, they just won't be able to login. If an outdated updates hak is the problem, it should fix things (I'd just bundle the new little hak right into the same 7z as the updates hak).
I'll be offline next weekend for Phoenix Comicon.

Gah, looking at the next month, things get busy. Here are the next two weekends I have open (I can do either Saturday or Sunday of each of them). If you have a preference on the day for each, send me a PM and in two days I'll post here with the finalized days and times.
June 14: 4:30-7:30pm (Saturday)
or June 15: 3-7pm (Sunday)
July 5: 3-7pm (Saturday)
or July 6: 3-7pm (Sunday)
Between Comicon and family obligations, the other three weekends in June are spoken for. And it's too early to be planning further into July.

Pls, if you have the skills, or know someone with them, I would love to view some youtube footage of panels at the Phoenix Comic-Con. It is unlikely that I will be able to attend such events, and enjoy watching vids about Bioware, Firefly, Star Trek, Felicia Day, Nathan Fillion, among others.
And you might enjoy attending any TableTop events; nerd gamers playing games with nerd celebs. Very entertaining! Plus, Anne Wheaton and Felecia Day are favorites!

As far as I know there won't be celeb game playing. The Wheatons aren't going to be there, nor Felicia. However, the lineup of other celebs is impressive this year.Elhanan wrote:Pls, if you have the skills, or know someone with them, I would love to view some youtube footage of panels at the Phoenix Comic-Con. I do plan on hitting up panels with Nathan Fillion, Bruce Campbell, John Ratzenberger, Cary Ewles, artists from SyFy's Face Off, maybe even Stan Lee. And of course, tabletop gaming and other stuff every day.
It would be absolutely incredible to play games with nerd celebs...with many of them, they're the type of people I could see just hanging out with (except for my lack of connections to film/tv and I don't live anywhere near L.A.). My kids have asked me if I'm ever going to be on TableTop (they love that show).
Re: Is anyone interested in a setting up a regular D&D night/
Looks to be potentially a lot of fun!
Heard a story that Nathan Fillion was asked to join a Firefly RPG, and when he arrived was told he could not play the Captain, as this was for the GM; had to play as River.
As much as I love panels and Q&A, it reminds me of the local event where I met Gene Rodenberry, but chose not to ask anything as I was too intimidated by the whole celebrity thing. Now, I still would remain silent, but more to insure to keep my mouth and feet separated....

Looking forward to having a full 4-hour session and I'll be better prepared with a couple new areas to possibly go into.

Sorry for the rather late notice, but I won't be ready to run the adventure tomorrow night (the 5th). We've been dealing with our dog this week...we ended up having to put her to sleep yesterday afternoon and it's been rough on us and the kids (we'd had her for around 9 years).
