Flowing liquids
I am trying to use the flowing liquids to give some movement to ship travel. I have updated my haks with the flowingliquids.hak and imported the erf but eventhough the placeables appear in their category in tolset, they do not place. What have I done wrong?

Re: Flowing liquids
I figured it out so it seems. I had the hak located wrong. I keep forgetting they go above all CEP...another builder said he read the CEP team told builders to place custom content about the middle of the CEP list in module custom content.

Re: Flowing liquids
Alright, so I ended up having to remove the flowing liquids hak. After I got it working I noticed that a mythallar crystal and rope coil I had placed before went missing visually. After several hours of battling with that and a weather issue I was having, the only thing that caused the crystal and rope to return to the land of the visual was to place the other custom haks back between cep2_add_tiles1 and pk_topv2.2 (about the middle of the list) while totally removing the flowingliquid_11 hak. I'm not sure why the conflict occured and if anyone has insight on this, I would appreciate it.

Re: Flowing liquids
The flowing liquids hak should contain a copy of placeables.2da (so that they can be used in the game). If placed higher in the hak order than other haks with their own placeables.2da files, it overrides those lower ones, making any placeables that are referencing those lines invisible to the game.
What you'd need to do to get them all working nicely together is to merge the different lines from the different placeables.2da files into a single new one, then place that new 2da file into a customized hak that you add to the top of your module's hak list.
The way haks and 2das work is the ones higher in the "hak order list" completely override the ones lower down with the same file names. Same goes for models with the same file names.

Re: Flowing liquids
Thank you for helping me with this. I will see what I can do because I'm hoping to use your flowing lquids and mythallars haks.

Re: Flowing liquids
A note on the mythallar crystals: Make sure they are not set as static in the toolset. Doing so can cause a player's game client to crash when they try to enter an area with those placeables.Drgnwlkr wrote:Thank you for helping me with this.
