The time draws near to end this...

I have harried the Orcs of Knort Scrar for weeks now.

I have witnessed, with a bit of satisfaction I might add, how they shrink
upon recognizing me. Even their leaders.

I have accomplished little, however... other than death and bloodshed...
and my goal was never to participate in meaningless slaughter. Each
of the lives I have taken has left an anguished spirit to suffer... and
there has been no real benefit to the greater good. This must
change.

The Orcish Emperor may see my actions as a setback, or inconvenience,
but he certainly does not think me sufficient threat to rethink his course.

I shall have to put the question to him in person.

I am not fearful of much in this world, some might think me
reckless or insane, but I am not foolhardy either.

I seek companions to aid me in seeking the Orc Emperor, and
if he will not negotiate peace, then he must be stopped.

If you feel up to this quest, make it known to me here.

Will I get to kill lots and lots of orcs? If so, I'm your Dwarf.

No hurt feelings if some else accompanies you, but I will be envious beyond what Dwarven script can express.

OOC: I have time constraints that generally limit when I can play and for how long. I'm fortunate that I have this week between quarters, but after that my free time will become even more scarce. If it will take more than an hour, we should plan a time so that I can schedule this event to minimize possible interruptions. Late evenings (post 9:00 pm PST) generally work for me.

Whilst no orcs were slain this evening, I had the opportunity to witness Mystara's arts wielded with great precision and effect by the mage Crideas Bane. As well, the considerable battle prowess of the dwarves was amply demonstrated by the fearsome Phyllick Delucian.

I look forward to the day when we may again travel the realm of Aenea together.

I have located the Castle of Blood in the city of Old Tesh.

To the hells with whatever bastardization the Orcs think its name is.

There was a rather large and fearsome orc patrolling the wall around
the castle. I had hoped to find a key or some way to pass the
entryway on his person... but I was forced to settle for merely having
slain an evil and sadistic creature.

I am unable to teleport within the Castle. I fear it will be
necessary to scour the city and massacre its inhabitants
in hope we might discover a key to the castle gates.
This idea is repugnant to me.

Perhaps there is another way, though I know not
what it might be. I shall spend the next few days
attempting to divine the answers through magical
means...

It would appear that we may be traveling the same path.

The Prophesy of Anga Nol begins;



One may interpret the City of Steel as Tesh, the grey armies as the loathsome orc hoard, and the slaves as those poor souls held in the orc slave camp. If this be the case, we are indeed journeying the same road.

We are of like mind that the orcs must fall, but if my reading of the entire Prophesy is correct we will need more than our determination and talents to eradicate the Great Evil.

We will need that referenced in the Prophecy.

And companions I suspect. I have dispatched letters to my comrades of old in hopes they can return to Aenea forthwith and lend their aid to our quest.

So at this point, Crideas would be feverishly working in a tizzy to cast multiple and layered, speculative and derivatory divinations to glean as many possible facts and draw as many reasonable conclusions about the final clues as magically possible.

Would our most illustrious Dragon be willing to share some minor hints about the mistress and the great forge?

There are those that think they already know the mistress well.

There are others that have seen the great forge up close and never realized it.

Think hard about the what the words of the prophesy could possibly mean. If totally stumped, take a break from it a while to lay waste to some orcs, then come back and think on it some more.

Eventually, each will be obvious, you'll kick yourself mentally, then laugh, then face the Great Evil.

For those players that have no idea what this prophesy is, you might want to plan a trip to the market in Calithia to browse...
