Places to level?
Hi there! Level 18 sorcerer here with a quick question. Where should I level up at? I've tried icereach, got rolled over by those white dragons. Tried beholders, between the anti-magic attack and disintegration no luck there... Any thoughts?

Re: Places to level?
You might try to locate the Illithid enclade in the underdark. From the forst clearing with the big stone ring, head west and search for an entrance to the dark deep... and then hunt the mind flayers if you dare
Another Alternative might be to explore the sands of Calithia for various forgotten tombs and crypts. The majority of the undead probably wont be too challenging, but if you can find Mummy Lorsd, Vampires, or Liches those might be decent.
While individual Orcs might not be much risk or reward, travelling into Knort Scrar alone can often mean finding a *lot* of Orcs... and thats an opportunity to let your Sorceror's arcane muscles flex with some nice Area of Effect spells.... also, sacrificing Orc loot sometimes nets a nice XP bonus.
As for the dragons... Icereach can be tough, but you can do it - you just need to be prepared for the fear aura, and maybe use a summon or two to keep some space. Scrolls of summon monster 9 can work well if you use the 'spell options' commands here. That way for example, you can ensure you always get a fire elemental.
Bring in 4 or 5 Elder Fire Elementals to Icereach and I bet you will find it a little easier. The Dragon's fear aura can be an issue for you (but not for the elementals). You can stock up on Liquid Courage potions from the Sleeping dragon, or hunt for / craft your own fear immunity item.

Re: Places to level?
I remember a certain circular tomb I'd farm until lvl 40 for celestial gold... It had liches I believe and they had surprisingly good drops. Can you give me a small hint as to where that is? (I believe I'm too low of level right now, I'm disintegrating beholders until around 25 before I can get through the dark realm for the dracoliches)

Re: Places to level?
If I am thinking of the same tomb you are, it is in the desert of Calithia, guarded by some gemstone-hoarding sphinxes.

Re: Places to level?
My pleasure - glad you found it. It is worth noting here that this tomb in particular is one of the very, very few areas in Aenea that is level restricted. You must be at least level 15 to enter. No problem for you at level 18 of course.
Also... be sure to walk very carefully, and read any 'flavor text' that might appear in your chat log. If you rush around you could miss an important warning in there... and you might regret it after getting a nasty surprise

So tell me, friend Aniriomyrion, you were previously a resident of Aenea (as your quote leads me to believe) - were you known as someone else, did you have a different handle, that sort of thing? Curiosity, and all that ...

Ah it was a good 4 or 5 years ago. I can't remember the character name much less the handle. But it's good to be back!
