You know, like after you click Desecrate, it gives you a "Are you sure you want to do that?" option.

Because I just lost thousands of gold and XP by accidentally clicking desecrate while offering to Dalix to get my piety high enough to preserve XP when dying.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Yes, and I was thinking the same thing this afternoon. It's very easy to misclick and get done over royally.
