Not Used: Armor apearrance?
Would it be possible to make the Chitin Armor dyeable? As I would love to make Rain's armor black to go with the rest of the gear she manages to accumulate. And it would just be awesome, lol!

Re: Not Used: Armor apearrance?
Im kinda puzzled over this as well why some items cant be dyed. In medieval times they had shellacs that could be applied to armor to dye it for use in ceremonial stuff.
Mind you it usually didnt last long in combat but it was available.

Re: Not Used: Armor apearrance?
A few of the items I've made non-dyeable so that the items will retain an appearance that goes along with the item origins and/or properties.
The chitin armor is one of those that is made of one particular material that I wanted to have remain noticeable. The brown more closely matches the coloration of the ankheg that the main material comes from.
The armor of the redeemed is supposed to be highly polished silver scales.
statuebreaker's cloak is supposed to look a bit like stone.
There are few other items that can't be dyed, but they are few and far between.

Re: Not Used: Armor apearrance?
Chitin armor is suppossed to be a light tan-pale white.
Chitin is never a dark color, in spite of where its origins would originate from, and this is due to it losing pigmentation after being removed from the creature it was attached to.

Understandable physiology of standard chitin armor, Anthroplayer, but Aenean chitin armor ... that's a whole other story!
