Drow

A query really. My character is a Drow and so gets ambidexterity & TWF for free. However because of the way these are given I am not able to take Imp TWF. Is it possible to craft an item that has ITWF without it being obscenely expensive (as it includes AD & TWF) ?????

Just a thought. Is it possible to put a condition on an item, i.e. that character must have TWF & AD to use an item, in same way you have to be elf or monk or evil etc. Or even the item could only be used by drow that would do the same thing???

I too am curious if an 'Imp. Two Weap.' item (Custom item or item via the Dwarf) could be acquired by folks that are Drow (who have 'Ambidexterity' and '2-Weap Fighting' as Racial feats).

I cant see I2WF as a bonus feat in the toolset able to be placed onto a custom item... so this will likely have to go the route of lil' Dwarf....

You can only use alignment, race or class restrictions on items... so the closest you'll be able to get is Racial:Elf .... unless has a way for flagging "Drow Only" on items in the Equip script..... ... (which he may have as their is a Elf / Drow armour specific to each)...

The other possibilty is for to copy the I2WF to a Player Feat and suggest your Custom Voucher Item uses that feat... ..

I have ways of limiting things by other than the ones you can normally put on items. By deity, for instance, which I've done already. When I limit things this way, there is no rank of Use Magic Device that can slip around the limitation...

what about just adding a drow race to races.2da and creating race_feat_drow.2da w/the appropriate feats? [of course there would have to be other mods too, for skills, classes, etc., and it would also require using the prc character creator. show-stopper?]

I believe that the original posts here are now outdated, since I use a newer function that adds feats right to a character rather than properties to a "skin" item, which should be opening up Improved Two Weapon Fighting for those that meet any other prerequisites for it.

As far as adding a drow racial type...nah. They're just elves of a different sort, and doing so would not only require that character creator software be used (which I wouldn't want players to have to use, especially since I don't use the PRC in Aenea), it would mean anything keyed to elves would not work for the drow.
