Partially Used: vc pray/emote pray/worship
Could the frequency of piety gain for these be increased? I noticed none of my characters had been gaining any piety from these commands... I finally went about fully testing with a level 5 character.... 30 prayers over the course of 10 minutes netted me 1 piety. I can understand it shouldn't be as much gain as praying at an altar, but at just 1 point for such concentrated effort, it's not really worth it from the player's standpoint to use the commands at all.

if i might make a suggestion to this suggestion...why not make the pray emote linked to the sacrifice. Make it if you pray after you sac. it would raise the amount gained from the sac.

sort of like the sacrifice gains your deity's attention, and then you pay proper homage for a little bonus.... hrm....

Ok, I've just modified the scripts slightly.
Sacrificing via the sacrificial flame will now "get your deity's attention" for up to 30 seconds. Start praying during that time, and you have a 100% chance of getting a point of piety.
This is done via a variable that is taken away 30 seconds after it's given. Due to the way the script works, if you sacrifice something (and get the variable), then sacrifice something else 20 seconds later, then you still have 10 seconds to start praying.
If you don't sacrifice something first, your chance of gaining a point of piety from simply praying is 50%.

As has been the case since I added piety gain to the prayers, there is still a limit of 2 minutes between piety gaining prayers. The gods of Aenea prefer you to be out spreading the word or doing something more productive than simply sitting around praying all the time.MannyJabrielle wrote:30 prayers over the course of 10 minutes netted me 1 piety.
