Compassionate Clergy Empty Compassionate Clergy

For temples -at least those that have non-Evil priests - perhaps adding the healing scripts to these overseers would go a long ways in gaining trust and followers.

For instance, the priest of Lysis simply stands around waiting to remove curses while some rather pious members of his temple may lie bleeding on the floor. While none of these priests may be as gifted as those that serve the god of Life (ie; Asis), all would seem to have access to lesser forms of healing, Turning, etc.

It would be nice to have them step up and use these talents if allies are needy, or if foes intrude.

That makes sense for all clergy-men, well, maybe not for a certain psychopathic god, but I can see Horsman's clergy doing this too.

Maybe let them cast buffs on people for a small fee. Mystara's Priests cast spell resistance, or Gort's casting Freedom of Movement/haste...

What about wandering healing clerics, similiar in nature to the guards of Macedone who can smell if you have a weapon out, and then pester you - if you are wounded, they (the clerics, not the Macedone guards) can come to your side, but if you be healthy, they leave you alone. I know it's hell on the resources, but maybe one or two in a city might not be so bad...
