Is it possible to use custom item vouchers for appearance changes, on characters or familiars or whatnot?

Oooh, that's a good question - don't think that it's been asked before...

I would probably speculate that it is not, seeing as you can change your familiars at each level-up. As to the PC appearance, there are a few places around that you can change heads, phenotypes, etc.

I'm sure that someone will come along and enlighten us on the matter!

The only other "familiar appearance change" I can think of at the moment is the necromatic familiars book for palemasters with an eyeball familiar.

With the heads.... there's that shop in Macedone for changing heads, and switching between lean and fat phenotypes. I have noticed however that not all the heads are available. The halfling females for example, there's three heads that you can see for them with the toolset, but aren't in the head-shop. Female elves as well are missing one or two.

And I don't mean those fugly "anime" style heads, normalish ones Smile

Eeew, furry/anime heads. The only thing I didn't like about CEP 2.2, honestly.

Okay, another question. Would a widget that gives an appearance change once or twice a day be possible? If so, how much?

I'd say you'd need The Amethyst Dragon to give some imput... it seems as though what you are after would be a custom scripted item (depending on the appearance change).... I've asked about those before and they take up module resources with each item that needs a seperate script to function how you want it... ((mine was a set of "horseshoes", that basically summoned a horse (as per a 5th lev Pally)... the result was NO.. but just over three weeks later, The Amethyst Dragon added persistant stables, and saddlebags etc))....

Saying that though he will/does script in extra HoD's... so maybe go for one of those, but ask for the appearance you want be added to the HoD appearance script - with only you told the VC command... .. that sounds like a good work-around to me....

I'd still await some input from The Amethyst Dragon ...

Not at this time. Maybe that would make a good prize for a bigger in-game event, though. Hmmmm....
