Poison weapon.

I'd like to give a custom sword I'm making the ability to poison itself, but the only property in the toolset is Cast spell: Poison weapon.

Will this work, or will it cost extra to get an actual poison scripted?

I'm assuming you mean you want the weapon to poison others correct ?... So that they get poisoned whenever you hit them ?... If so you want the "On Hit > Poison" property.. I'd suggest around DC 16-20 if possible and opt for Con based damage (it really hurts a monsters HP balance when they start getting Con drained).....

If your after it to poison people your NOT swinging at, then I'd go for the spell format (which is a touch attack spell with a fort save)...

If your after using the blade to coat poisons on it, then go for the feat....

PS You can test your custom items in the PBM, just drop the item in the module, add a creature and press "F9"....

I haven't played around with weapon poisons too much. I'm not sure how the castable "poison weapon" property works, nor if Aenea is set to require assassin/bg levels to actually use poisons (which can be bought/found in select areas).

That last one, Rusty. I basically want the sword to have an option to apply poison to.. itself.

Just tested it out in the mod. You get:

"So and so coats his(yes, his, even if you are a girl) weapon in poison.

* Nothing happens *".

Could this be because there aren't scripts to support it? Not the lack of gender neutrality issue, naturally, but rather the lack of a poisonous effect.
