Used: Teaching Languages

The books are great, dont get me wrong.....

But it makes little sense that a learned scholar with 50 INT cannot teach a language to someone else.

We need some sort of VC command for this, methinks.

I remember in EQ years agone, once we found out that you could learn a language by spamming it, the whole server spend a week doing nothing but spamming at each other until we could ALL speak EVERYTHING.

Perhaps to avoid spamming, yet allow instruction from others and promote party co-op, the attempt could only be done so many times per lvl based on INT, Lvl, etc.

Abuse is one thing... poor RP another... but not being able to teach a language at all?

HAH. I thought of it as immersion language training, believed by many experts to be the best way to learn a new language!

(I remember my brother-in-law going to a village in Honduras where he was the only one who spoke English for Spanish immersion. 1 week later, he could get by in Spanish)

His assignment in Honduras lasted 3 years, and he has been back in the States 7 years, and he still speaks Spanish like a native!

Suggestion used.

After the next module update, those that know a language will be able to teach it to a PC that doesn't know it.
