Not Used: Meteor Shower, revisted

Just wanted to put a note here.
Meteor Shower got buffed, that was awesome.
Its still a sub par spell for a 9th level spell slot.
Can we just take the simple route, get rid of the stupid reflex save, and
have it do 1d8/2 caster levels (max 20d8)
That way its high end may not be as good as horrid or hypothermia, or even
delayed blast fireball, AND you will need to have 40 caster levels to max it out,
but its damage will still be properly nasty for a 9th level slot, and more
importantly.... it will be *reliable*.
It will also help with server load as the server wont have to calulate all those saves,
just the dmg.
