Beuttlerian Player Run Event

Beuttleria (ie Derfel and Derik) will be hosting a player run event Nov 8 10pm EST. The event will be focused to players around level 20 so please bring character suited for the level (we will take no fault if lower level characters come and get killed lots during said event). Please do not bring very high level characters for it will ruin then fun. as this is our first try at a player run event (maybe even the first player run event ever) please bare with us if we mess up. The will be good loot at the end including some custom Beuttlerian Gear. Hope to see you there.

Since we can't spawn monsters, we'll be using summons and debilitating magic to try and make things a bit more challenging for the players. For this purpose, we'll be hostile for the duration, but we'll be trying to stay out of sight and out of the way as much as possible.

I don't recommend trying to fight us, since we don't want people getting murdered by auto-retaliate. We'll be in Sanctuary and Invisibility as long as we can hack it, making brief appearances to cast spells.

The goal of the event will not be to kill Derik and Derfel, but to overcome the challenge presented at the time the event begins.

EDIT:

It went well, starting on time and running for about 90 minutes, with a little extra time for fiddling when we were all done.
We killed one guy, but he was rather fragile, and it was somewhat an accident. Also the chest ate all the loot we had, so we'll try something different next time.

That was a pretty cool idea, not to shabby guys, huzzah!

This was great fun, Derik and Derfel. I had a great time, and I thought it went really well, (aside from the losing a whole person thing (wink)).
I think it will slide along even better if we have a few more players.
Maybe we could get a heads up a few days in advance, so that folks know its coming, and they can arrange their schedules accordingly.
But most of all GOOD JOB!!! Everyone said what a great time it was. Felt challenging but not cripplingly so, and I for one want to give out kudos to the both of you

I would have came but I passed out at the keys from a stupid siezure again, woke up when it seemed half over maybe , read the ooc shouts it sounded very much fun times. Maybe I can join some other time yes.

Nice to see that players can get an event going without the help of a DM! My hat is off to you all! Good job everyone!
