Aenean Cosmology (aka, The Planes)

I figured it was about time I start introducing the basics of the planes as they are for Aenea. Some may sound familiar, others that are familiar to D&D players are not connected in any way to Aenea.

The Material Plane:
This is where everything really happens. The "normal" world the PCs live and adventure in. Even the gods reside here, unseen by anyone until they choose to manifest an avatar.

The Ethereal Plane:
A misty, immaterial plane that exists in the same place as the Material Plane. This is where ethereal creatures spent most of their time.

The Elemental Planes (Air, Earth, Fire, Water):
These are limitless expanses of the four classic elements. Conjuration magics draw from the materials or creatures of these planes.

The Celestial Heights:
This is the "upper plane", home to supernatural creatures of pure good. The celestial beings rarely mingle with creatures from the Material plane, and their innate purity and goodness protects them from poisons, diseases, and aging (and is also the reason why there are no "half-celestials"...celestials are immortal products of the upper plane itself and do not reproduce on their own, so have no reason to attempt to reproduce with material plane beings).

The Dark Realm:
This is the "lower plane", home to demons of all sorts. There are no distinctions between demons, fiends, or devils. There is no "central power" controlling the demons, as they are generally a pretty chaotic bunch that live only to torture and kill weaker beings. Some of these evil creatures are the parents of demon spawn scattered across the Material Plane.

The Astral Plane:
An "in-between plane", it exists between and along with all the other planes. It is only a conduit between other planes, and nothing lives in it. The only known "location" in this place is the Astral Conjunction, a mystical place that draws in those that travel from other realms.
