Perhaps once the cleric granted spell feats are working, maybe the wizard/sorc/bard Identify/legend lore widgets could be changed to feats as well, or maybe even the subrace abilities such as drow/halfdrow darkness, winged/demonspawn(and rdd/dragonsoul) flight?

Would indeed be nice not to have your inventory cluttered up with ability widgets...

These will be removed once I make sure the new granted spell feats work properly (and there's at least a targeting bug with them right now).

Original suggestion can be partially done (wiz/sor/brd identify/legend lore widgets as feats). It'd take some 2da editing and scripting, but could enable the feats to be automatically granted at level up.

Wouldn't work well for subrace items, since it would take even more letoscript edits (and I'm trying to keep those to a minimum to avoid potential problems).

Hrm... can the subrace items be changed into feats that get added at level 2 perhaps?

Hypothetically, the levelup list for each class could have a tidbit added to check subrace and add the abilities as feats upon reaching level 2, no?

Or just make it work exactly like the cleric granted spells do.

Every base class would get a "Special Abilities" feat at level 2. That feat would check for subrace just like the granted spell feats check for deity.

IF drow or half drow, darkness, if vampire, a generic domination ability (as opposed to the dominate animal/person combo), for winged... flight. No other subraces have special ability tokens that I can think of, so it's a very small list

Or even better yet....

Tweak the already existing "subrace: XXXX" feats to be "useable" and do the subrace abilities.
