After checking the main page and searching the boards, all I can find about the SFW created armor is that it is "medium armor".

It looks similar to scale mail, but is not necessarily so I suppose. My question is what armor is it? I am wondering because I want to know if I should make a dex-based fighter because of the medium armor, or a strength-based fighter because of low Max Dex modifier.

Also, as a more general question, are the SFW bonus feats fighter feats or general feats? I am an obsessive character builder, and this could have a large impact on my builds. Smile

It's equivalent to a breastplate, Base 5 AC, max dex bonus 2.

The stats on it are pretty decent, and the level 10 version has +6/20 damage reduction which is good, but honestly I find that if you can find armor more suitable to the build, there's nothing wrong with using that instead of the summoned-armor. The meat of the class I think is the fully powered sword and bonus feats. Even the +5 level of the sword is decent enough.

The bonus feats are fighter type bonus feats, but it's not the same feat list. It's mostly the same, I'd have to open up the build module and compile a complete list to see exactly what's different. Offhand though I know that in epic levels, great intelligence and I *think* great wisdom are on the SFW bonus feat list.

Also, the class description is off on what levels you get the feats on, and I haven't checked to see if the the forum post with the class specifics is correct or not either. They're correct on the number of bonus feat received, just not the specific levels their gained. The in-game class description is 1 level 'ahead' if I recall correctly.

Also, for your build notes... the sword can't be enhanced with spells (flame/shock/acid/frost weapon, darkfire, holy avenger, greater magic weapon, bladethirst, beheading blade, bloodletting blade, or the silvania's weapon spell).

Can it be wielded normally with Two Weapon Fighting? Main hand - SFW longsword, off hand - [insert light weapon here]?

Yes, unless you're a hafling or gnome of course. It's basically a longsword, so all the normal stuff applies

Just hit 10 with mine, I'm enjoying the SFW personally. for level 17 having 20/+6 reduction + elemental reduction 10/- (cold 20/-) and a sword that does some lovely damage, you'll find fighting alone (when there's noone else to party with if you're into that) is alot easier. I know my build is nowhere near perfect, and I don't have any extra super neat gear, but I hit for an average of 40-50+ per hit, and up to 90-100 on crits at the moment. Hopefully a few WM levels will increase those even more Smile

All Beuttlerians have a closet inclination to try the SFW, but the sparkly sword would make it pretty out of character for us.

No harm in trying it out, though.

Looks like someone found the Arcane Abyss Wink

SFW's biggest draw is the equipment, but I have mulled over using the class for the bonus feats.... I'd have to double check how many bonus feats there are, but a wizard30/sfw10 *might* be able to squeeze in one more bonus feat than a pure wizard

Ran into my first problem. Yes, I got eaten by a giant purple worm. Concentration checks fail almost every time in there, and when they don't, you're unequipped of your weapons... which means your blade is destroyed... over and over. Since I'd never encountered this in the past, I have no other weapons... at all on me... and my fists are 'ineffective'... so basically I'm stuck inside a giant worm... with no way to get out... for the next 20+ hours...

Yes, inside the worm, medium sized weapons are unequipped. Small weapons are useable (except whips) though.

Always a good idea to keep a nice dagger on ya.
