New Feats Suggestion - Additional Spell I-IX

With all of the custom arcane spells, sorcerers and bards seem to get rather shafted in only getting a tiny handful of them. Granted, this is a part of being a sorcerer or a bard, but what used to be you getting maybe a third or so of the first and second level spells has become getting a fifth or so of them.

So these proposed feats do one thing - allow the caster to take one additional spell of the selected spell level.

This would also be a neat option for the XP store....

Good idea. One thing I would cuation about: with the Xp store, the number of extra spells one can gain should be capped.

Unfortunately, the number of spells known for sorcerers and bards is hard-coded into the game engine and can't be changed.

That's not exactly true... the idea did come from Higher Ground, which somehow managed to do it...

Likely by adding the various "Bonus Spell Slot of Level: Class [Level X]" item properties to a creature skin.. which would allow (I believe) one extra spell per level of the class .....

Unless you mean have them able to pick one extra spell at level up ?... Which would be awkward from what I can see, but there IS (by the wiki) a colum in the classes.2da that relates to the following

Spell Gain Table
Spell Known Table
Player Class
SpellCaster

So maybe these can be edited to improve the number of spell slots (choices) available to Bards and Sorcs... it would certainly make them more enjoyable to play in Aenea with it's overpowering number of new spells.... .....


CLS_SPGN_SORC and CLS_SPGN_BARD may refer but I can't seem to find these in my little 2da package.... .... ....

The second is what I refer to, Rusty and thanks for giving at least some idea of how it might be done, as I'm clueless to these things short of knowing it can be done because I've seen it....
