An alternative way to lower an epic spell dc (besides the current hp loss, xp loss, BoM); Use extra epic magic "uses" (for something moderate like -10 to -20 per use). So, for example, a caster with six casts per day could have a spell with the DC lowered by -50 but could only cast it once per day (1 for the cast + 5 for the DC lowering effect). Obviously the spell could only be cast when fully rested.

Sounds good! It's always good to have options - and more choices make this epic magic system very appealing, especially for a Muggle like me.
