Someday: It's a....Bug!

Update: Model's animations are bugged in-game, so it won't actually make an appearance until it get's fixed. It may take some time, since I'm not much of an animator myself. Bah!







Hak file update coming sometime in the next 24 hours. In it is a brand new thrikreen model, brought in from Project Q and recolored for Aenea's desert lands.

Thrikreen will start making their appearance in-game soon after than. They are a primitive race, often hungry for the flesh (and valuable moisture it contains) of softer creatures. They tend to use simply-made weapons, but will gladly (and handily) use better quality killing implements if given the chance. They often hunt in groups, making them all the more dangerous.

Here's a picture of one that has taken to using the tools of humans it has previously eaten.

As multi-wielding as NWN can handle. Two weapons, both just happen to go on the right hand side with these guys.

Did you get my pm ad? i tested these and the weapons dont show on the model.

I'm seeing them wielding one or two weapons in the toolset just fine, although they don't seem to be able to equip 2-handed or double weapons.

I'll be testing them in-game soon.

Nevermind on the stupid thri-kreen. Tested in-game and their animations do lock up constantly. I'm not much of an animator, so I wouldn't really be able to fix it without many, many hours of work. Maybe the Project Q folks can do a fix someday.

Dammit. They look cool, too.

well like i said i tested em and it seems to do it when you equip weapons....with just basic claw attacks it dont seem to lock up...if you do what we had planned i can try it myself and tell you how/what does it if you want.

I found that it locks up with equipping/unequipping weapons and torches, and with various other animations (such as various emotes). I'm going to try a couple other things later today to see if they can still be workable. If I have to, I may just limit them to no held weapons.

hmmm odd i equiped a shortsword..dagger and longsword and it didnt lock up....mage staves did. hmmm ill tinker some more.
