Ignatius Arkayn

Ignatius moved his hands over the Techno-magical controls and the glowing runes altered thier shape. Behind him the enormous Mythallar globe began to pulse and glow, simultaneously outside a grandfather clock on market street began to slowly fade away and vanish. Moments later...across the multiverse on another world far removed from its home of Greyhawk, a grandfather clock slowly began to fade into existance.

Staring in amazement and fear several commoners looked on as a grandfather clock slowly appeared in a street nook in the outskirts of Macedone. A middle aged man stepped out of the clock and looked about and commented....*yes...this shall do nicely* and smiled as he locked the clock behind him and wandered off leaving the commoners in puzzlement.


Ignatius(or Iggy as his friends call him) is a planeswalker, that is..he travels the endless planes of the multiverse. Traveling in a device of his own creation, his ...*Moebius Tower* he visits and explores the worlds that fill the infinite expanse of the multiverse. Born orginally on the world of Oerth(ooc:Oerth is the name of the greyhawk setting world) in the free city of Greyhawk, Ignatius has rubbed heads with the greats of that city. Mordenkainen,Otiluke and most of the circle of eight including the odd fellow Murlynd.

Attaining a small level of fame himself he helped keep the free city what it was...a free city. Sadly though came the day when Rary..one of the circle betrayed his fellows and killed many of them. With the circle albiet gone Iggy had nothing to hold him down to his beloved world. So after many years he finally completed his travelling tower and left his home and set out to explore the infinite.

Using longevity potions he has extended his life for hundreds of years and has seen more worlds then anyone could imagine. A kind and caring soul he tries to help others where he may to make a better life for themselves. Now he wanders Aenea, a displaced hero watching over a people he barely knows and a world he knows little about.

But that matters little to Ignatius, as helping others is what drives him ever onward. One day he will leave Aenea for yet another world but till then...this is his home.

Recently Ignatius has acquired a rather unique dagger/familiar of sorts. Upon joining the League of Extraordinary Adventurers he noticed an odd dagger in a display case that seemed ignored. Upon asking the League sold it to him without knowing it was a dagger of immense power. Created long ago by the first circle of wizards, the dagger was a living being...possesing a mind of its own and linking itself to a host/wizard in the same fashion a true familiar does and granting the wizard new powers. Below is an image of this powerful familiar/weapon.

Yes i know he looks suspiciously like Dr.Strange, but thats intentional. Im a HUGE fan of the Dr.Strange comic(sad they cancelled it) and lacking any idea of where to go with Iggy i just used it as a pattern for his garb. I have even memorized the ryhme spells he cast in the comics for RP flavor
