Additions Empty Additions

I currently have a two bladed long sword I use with:

2d8 sonic
1d4 fire
1d4 cold
1d4 acid
1d4 electricity

I would like to improve upon these elements (minus the sonic which is great how it is) ,but without upgrading my blade through a custom item (for I am working on a helm currently that I need in order to survive the more nasty parts of Aenea). This is more of a DM question ,but I am open to suggestions from anyone.
