Could perhaps instead of having to click on the crystals themselves, could there be small area transition triggers around the crystals? When I was down there with a party the other night, we all seemed to be having a bugger of a time trying to find the right angle to stand at when clicking on the crystal clusters. If we weren't approaching from a specific angle, we'd approach, and the action would hang in the queue. Something about the size/shape of the cluster models makes it so you can't activate them unless you click on them while facing them from a specific angle.

I'll third this... those crystals can be very annoying to get the angle correct... however for most of them approaching from the opposite direction to the way you want to travel is the correct angle... spin the camera round line up crystal A and crystal B and approach as though you were "walking across an invisible bridge".... also with these same crystals once or twice (normally on the way out) , I've gotten "stuck" inside a crystal and had to use lysis keys to escape... ...
