Long Range Flight

I've had an idea brewing for some time now about inter-area flight. It would kind of be like an outside only-teleport. You would set a spot and could fly to it later, but it would cost a lot of hitpoints.

What do you mean by that? In outside areas only? Kinda like the Cloak of Flying, or perhaps a winged subrace? That is an interesting idea to pursue ...

No, there are winged subraces, and we can fly short distances. What I mean is like an idea to fly between, say, two cities, as opposed to the short range inside-the-area-you-are-in fly like we already have.

Definitely something to ponder.

Maybe you could use the "Map of aenea" for winged races to select a destination.. a preset winged landing point if you will in each coutry.. this way the winged races get this benifit (but find it exhausting) and it doesnt totally neglect the portal system, teleportation, or give winged races a suppiorior upper hand.. My two cents..
