A beautiful icey day....

Rained last night, and then the rain froze over. Each tree, each branch on the tree, even each blade of grass, everything, is covered in a perfect sheath of ice. Mainstreet Mannyville shimmers and sparkles as if everything were carved from crystal when the sun shines on the ice covering everything....

Or at least it would if there were much sunlight. Mostly overcast, chilly. But there *is* a nice covering of ice over everything. Which makes for a very startling walk, or should I say involuntary slide, down the driveway towards mainstreet... which is very busy, and the drivers known throughout the county as having received their drivers licenses from a gumball machine....

It's like the bizaro version of that perfect winter's day O_o

Sounds like an adventure!

I miss real winter...even the sometimes annoying, messy parts.

I'm with you , except I'm not missing it - I'm living it! 123" so far with 22" on the ground. Just ordered a new set of snowshoes as the old Alaskan Trappers ain't cutting it on the hills around here. People think me crazy, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Mister Period, you make me sad! No snow for us so far - well, nothing of consequence, anyways! Just a stray ice storm or two. I miss Edinboro weather, I tell ya!
