Fondant. Smooth, nice looking on a cake. Tastes lousy, hard to make.

Until I found this online and tried it out: Marshmallow Fondant

I had to try, since I like to make desserts and I'm a huge fan of Duff and his crew at Charm City Cakes (yes, I watch Ace of Cakes on Food Network). This one worked on my first try...and it tastes good!

Lanky? Skinny? Nope. Actually trying to another 15 extra pounds that I've been carrying for about 9 years now. I've dropped 15 since January with better overall eating...now trying to get in exercise...too bad I can't use the toolset and use the treadmill at the same time!.

I just happen to think dessert is the most important of the 5 food groups. Twisted Evil

I'm looking at taking up serious and experimental cooking as a hobby...good thing my wife works in a hospital where the staff will take care of "extras" I don't want in the house for more than a day.

I was having such trouble with frosting, and fondant tastes so terrible that I moved on to cheesecake...hmmmm a yummy alternative .
