A pair of Purple Worm questions

1) Is damage to the gizzard applied to the worm (potentially allowing a PC to escape by killing it)?
2) Are PCs allowed a grapple or escape artist check to prevent the worm from swallowing them?
Incidentally, if the answer is "no" to either, feel free to move this over to the suggestions area

2) Yes. It's a grapple check:
You: Base attack + Str + 1d20
Worm: Base attack + Str + 1d20 + size (+8 )
2) Yes. It's a grapple check:
